HomeRoots Tallow Pre-Order Policy

At HomeRoots, we pride ourselves on small-batch, artisanal production. Because we source our suet and render our tallow by hand to ensure the highest quality and nutrient density, some of our products are made-to-order.

By placing a pre-order, you are securing your jar from our next limited production run.

1. How Pre-Orders Work

When you purchase a pre-order item, you are paying in full at checkout. This reserves your product and places you in our production queue. Your order will be fulfilled in the order it was received.

2. Estimated Shipping Timelines

  • Shipping Windows: Every pre-order item will have an Estimated Ship Date listed clearly on the product page.

  • 30-Day Rule: If no date is specified, we are committed to shipping your order within 30 days of your purchase.

  • Delays: If a batch takes longer to cure or an agricultural delay occurs, we will notify you immediately via email with a revised shipping estimate.

3. Shipping "Mixed Carts"

If your order contains both in-stock items and pre-order items, the entire order will ship together once the pre-order item is ready.

Tip: If you need your in-stock items sooner, please place two separate orders.

4. Cancellation & Refund Rights

We want you to feel confident in your wait. Under FTC regulations, you have the following rights:

  • Cancel Anytime: You may cancel your pre-order for a 100% full refund at any time before your order has been processed for shipping.

  • Delay Notifications: If we cannot hit our promised shipping window, we will send you an email. You will have the option to either accept the new date or cancel your order for an immediate refund.

5. Quality Guarantee

Because tallow is a natural, biological product, slight variations in color or scent may occur between batches. This is the mark of a truly raw, unrefined product. If your pre-order arrives and does not meet our high standards, our standard Return Policy applies.
